Red Lobster is an American casual dining restaurant chain that is owned and operated by Darden Restaurants, Inc., headquartered in Orlando, Florida. The company also has operations in Canada, the United Arab Emirates, and Japan. As of May 29, 2011, there are 698 Red Lobster locations worldwide.

Red Lobster was founded in 1968 by entrepreneurs Bill Darden and Charley Woodsby. Originally billed as a "Harbor for Seafood Lovers", the first restaurant in Lakeland, Florida, was followed by several others throughout the southeast. In 1970, General Mills acquired Red Lobster as a five-unit company. With new backing, the chain expanded rapidly in the 1980s.

Red Lobster Celebrates The Return Of Endless Shrimp

At Red Lobster, Endless Shrimp is the number one guest requested promotional event. Endless Shrimp is back  at Red Lobster for a limited time in 2015.

This year’s Endless Shrimp selections include:

Red Lobster is also introducing guests to two new craft beer cocktails. The Seaside Shandy features Shock Top Belgian White Ale, Cointreau and fresh citrus juices, while the Angry Lobster features Angry Orchard Crisp Apple Cider, tropical fruit juices and Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey.

Both new cocktails are served in a beer can shaped commemorative glass with the Red Lobster logo. Glasses are sold with the purchase of a cocktail or can be purchased separately.


Endless Shrimp Returns to Red Lobster

Starting Monday, September 1st, 2014 Red Lobster’s Endless Shrimp, the number one guest requested promotion, is back for a limited time. This year, guests can satisfy their shrimp cravings with six delicious shrimp varieties.

Guests can enjoy as much shrimp as they like, any way they like, from the Endless Shrimp menu and can even mix and match different preparations. The offer comes with a fresh salad and unlimited Cheddar Bay Biscuits.
